The Northumberland County It’s All Right Here! campaign is a joint venture by the four county Chambers of Commerce: Brighton-Cramahe, Trent Hills, Port Hope & District, and Northumberland Central. The campaign has been created to showcase the breadth of goods and services available across the county, as well as in each region — with an emphasis on inclusivity and diversity.
Our county is bursting with incredible people doing wonderful things — providing rich consumer experiences for procuring both the ‘need to have’ and the ‘nice to have’. We welcome everyone here and pride ourselves on inclusivity. The areas covered by each of the four Chambers Northumberland are unique on a regional level, and incredibly diverse within the regions themselves. Each of the towns, villages and rural areas of Northumberland County are host to an amazing variety of shops, restaurants, services, makers, growers and producers. Thus, the mantra It’s All Right Here!

Shop Local
It is important to remember that shopping local is mutually beneficial for both businesses and consumers. Our businesses benefit in that they can grow and prosper, which in turn allows them to give back to the community by providing great products and services, creating employment, spending money and supporting local initiatives. For consumers, shopping local is a convenient, personalized experience that keeps our local economy strong and our communities thriving.

Click Local
Many local businesses are now offering an ‘omni-channel’ shopping experience. This means that, in addition to in-store shopping, consumers can purchase from them online or by telephone, then choose delivery or curbside pickup. The online options vary with some business providing full e-commerce websites; others use Facebook or Instagram to showcase their offering and allow customer to browse from home.
Explore Your Big Backyard!
As residents of a largely rural county, we often feel the need to travel to urban areas for specialty shopping or services that may not be available in our immediate area. We invite you to explore a bigger backyard and check out other areas of Northumberland County. For example, the offerings in Port Hope are vastly different than those in Campbellford — and vice versa. The same goes for Cobourg and Hastings, or Brighton and Roseneath. The towns, villages and rural areas in between are all easily within reach and a pleasant drive among the rolling hills of Northumberland.
